Matter is a project about everything I own - graphically designed. It seeks to elucidate that which is invisible: the personal, hidden meaning found in everyday objects. Using color, scale and transparency I reveal how long I've owned each object, how much it means to me, and how often I use it. The project was inspired by Lawrence Weschler's book about the artist Robert Irwin "Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees."
Matter was featured in the 2009 American Design Club's spring exhibition, "Hue Are You."
Big thanks to The Future Perfect in Williamsburg for hosting the show.
